Hi Tony~
Thanks so much!
I need to talk to someone there today. I want to use some of these images on products in my little Cafe Press store and want to see if I can afford it. I'm just a lowly housewife. ; ) I will call you. I think you are on Western time so I will wait until it's light there at least. Happy New Year!

Something strange is happening - I just get a blank page when I click the link in My Account and nothing seems to be happening. Can you help me get these files?

Hi Bob,
If I decide to go back to Winky, I'll definitely contact you. Using the Draw Me! image was one of those ideas that came to me in the shower, that I thought I'd explore to see if I could make something clever out of it. But after spending 2 days trying to track down a decent copy of Winky, it's becoming a hassle and I'm losing my enthusiasm for the concept. (It's the A.D.D.) [grin]
After I wrote you, I did download the free sample, and as you said, it is editable. So that's very cool. I subsequently registered my name and bought 3 images from your very-hip website yesterday. I've got another idea to try.
When I've got my business card designed, I'll send you a pdf., if you like.
Thanks again for your help. I'm jealous of your day job -- I'd be very lucky to land something that cool.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for your quick response. I love your website!!
Yes, that's the character I was referring to. I've only been able to find low-res versions of it. I don't know whether he's copyrighted or not, but for my purposes, it wouldn't matter. I'd just be using him on a personal business card as an editorial illustration, not as a logo or an image to sell anything. (I could only hope that the "Winky" heirs would track me down with a "Cease and Desist" order--it'd be great publicity!) [grin]
Maybe I just have to find an old comic book with one of those ads in the back pages and scan it... or, wasn't he on matchbooks as well?
I wish I could send you a link--I haven't found anything close, except for a "Draw Bob Hope" version. As I recall, there were different characters. Winky just stood out in my mind--he was such a classic!
Thanks for your interest and feedback,
Les |

Great website, btw. I had made business cards with this particular image and was trying to find it just a few weeks ago with no success. (I lost the original due to a laptop theft incident over 5 years ago.) I just got lucky today! I found you on Google image search...

To be honest, I'd rather buy 50 or even 100 pieces at once than keep coming back over and over. If you had a CD with everything I'd probably snatch it up.
I saw your ad regarding the discount for 20+ pieces of clip art. It mentioned you were considering further discounts for larger purchases.
Could you let me know if that's possible and if so to what degree?

Hi Tony. I did receive it and was able to open it. Thanks so much for following up. I have a couple of questions for you. As I told you on the phone last night, I am trying to make a business card for a small business that my friend and I have. My computer had a total crash and I lost everything, including the "blueprint" for our card. I was able to find the font again but there was a rose with a black, curvy stem and 2 green leaves. We made this card up over 2 years ago and try as I might, I'm unable to locate anything on the web under clip art to have this rose. Would it be possible, if I scanned it into the computer at work and sent it by e-mail to myself and then e-mailed it to you, for you to recreate it? I've found other roses but they just don't fit the card or they're cheesy. Thanks for any help you can give me. If you're able to do this, please give me an idea of the cost as well. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks! Rose Herrera |

Subject: clarification please
To whom it may concern:
I am looking for some really great clip art for my designs and I found some fantastic retro clip art at your site. If I purchase any of these clip arts, will this allow me to use them in my designs that I sell? I design digital scrapbook products. The clip art will be embedded into my products such as part of a background or a word art. The designs will not be sold as clip art but used for in my products that I design.
Also, if you do allow use of them, is it OK if I remove part of the image such as a word to fit what I want to use it for?
Thank you for your response and attention to this matter.

Julie Mead |

I have never been a victim of identity fraud, but I do have a friend who has been! He is a Welsh comedian and even made a documentary about it for television: http://www.channel4.com/news/microsites/I/identity/

I would like to download the EPS image instead but it seems like I have to pay again.

Subject: Permanently Buying Clip Art
Dear Bob:
Your site is wonderful -- thank you for all your hard work and nice
selections!
I retired a few years ago, and in order to augment my income, have decided
to try my luck in designing my first tee-shirt. Being from the class of
'60, retro appeals to me, and I have been learning Adobe Illustrator so that
I can design it "professionally."
I would like to "permanently" buy the vectored clip art design labeled "car
hop 3". I have no idea how many of my shirts I will sell (hopefully a lot).
But have not yet decided how I am going to market it. However, I have to
have my shirt already to go before I approach a bank for financing the
printing of it.
So I guess this is my first stop, and I eagerly look forward to your reply.

Yeah, your site's stuff is great and it stands alone

competitors. There is no comparison. You really are
a craftsman. Nice

just falling off vines, folks. And that you keep the

Thanks so much for your prompt assistance! My
husband was able to open the file and we love the clip
art picture - he is into retro. Sorry for the
multiple purchases, I can be technologically challenged
at times...
Many thanks for your help.

Just a heads up.
On image "Shoppers With Groceries 2" the image
is titled such and also titled such in the enlargement,
but when one saves the watermarked image to consider
for use, it is titled Shoppers With Groceries 1. This
may lead to confusion at some point.
Great images, by the way. Best collection on the net.
As long as we're going with the retro look for our band
posters, you have a customer -- and afterwards as well.

Hi Tony,
Thank you so much for such a fast turnaround on this.
However, I don't think that this is going to work as
well as the original one that I purchased from you.
The style of this new one stands out as somewhat different
than the rest of the retro art that the refrigerator
will be going with. I'm feeling very guilty, sorry.
Might I still expect to see the corrected art for the
original one that you notified me of as being inferior?
Thank you for all your time on this.

I really was hoping to find an image of a refrigerator
that had its door open to show food inside. Your image
entitled "Refrigerate with Gas" is what I
was looking for but minus the black background and minus
all the words. Might you have that image as I've described?
Thank you for your quality control and concern. I really
appreciate it.

Hi Tony,
Thanks a bunch for sending the updated files. They are
MUCH better, and I
was able to use them.
I think I may have found another poorly drawn image.
It's called,
"Presenter2." Just wanted to bring it to your
attention.
And, I would like to get 2 images in exchange for my
2 credits. The images
are:
Presenter1 &
Home for Dinner
Thanks for maintaining such great quality with your
artwork, for the
credits, and fantastic customer service!
Take care,

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the prompt response. I understand your
pricing now, and can see
why indeed. And they are very reasonable, as you
say, considering the
quality and caliber. And know how hard they are
to come by or accumulate,
I have been trying to no avail myself for some time.
I use these type of images for motivational booklets,
newsletters and memo's.
I am a business writer/consultant; so I am constantly
looking for great images.
I will be needing about 40- 50 images....correlating
to my text topic or subject.
So I am definetly going back to your site for selections...they
are the best I have
come across by far. I compliment you on your dedication
to the "Retro" style and
impact...and exhaustive effort to maintain such a terrific
collection. Bless you...
that makes you a real hero in my book! Again...thanks
so much for your time
and attention.

Thanks Tony for the prompt response. Unlike most stock
image companies, this
matter was addressed in a quick manner.
I did, however, only receive one email from your company
yesterday. It was
the receipt for the order that was processed yesterday.
I did not receive
the two declined receipts until a minute ago. I will
keep these on hand and
notify my banking representative of the declined receipts.
Thanks again for the prompt response on this matter.
