All of the thumbnail images in our catalog are beautifully gift-wrapped for your viewing pleasure!

Naturally we would love to feature perfectly clear, high resolution samples throughout our catalog, but unfortunately, human nature being such as it is, most folks will simply choose to right click and download the thumbnail, rather than fork over $8.95 (or less) for a vector EPS file or high res jpeg!

As you can imagine, we didn't spend tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours of our time just to provide free retro icons to internet users!   We're not looking to make a lot of money either, but we would at least like to break even (some day) for having gone to all this effort to make the world's greatest retro advertising artwork available to everyone.

After a lot of trial and error, our art department wizards finally came up with a foolproof watermark system which meets all the necessary criteria:

If you right-click and download one of these thumbnails, you will soon see that even the most seasoned Photoshop sharpies will be unable to get rid of the watermark pattern without making a complete mess of the image. Try it just for fun. Levels won't do it; curves won't do it, and the magic wand will only succeed in cutting the image to ribbons. It's the perfect watermark!  Yet it still allows users to see all the details they need to see in order to decide whether they want to purchase an image.
